When I purchased my Chromebook, I was pleased to find out that it provides me with the option to change the language settings to my preference. Change System Language on a Chromebook
The system language on your Chromebook is the language used by the device’s interface. This means that it is the language that you will see when you navigate through your device’s settings and options. Changing the system language is a simple process that can be done in a few steps.
First, click on the status area which is located in the bottom right corner of your screen. This will open up the quick settings menu.
Next, click on the settings icon which is represented by a gear. This will take you to the settings menu.
In the search bar, type “language” and select “Language and input settings” from the search results.
Under the “Language” section, click on the drop-down menu and select your preferred language. If your language is not listed, click on “Add languages” and select your language from the list.
Once you have selected your preferred language, click on “Done” to save the changes.
Change Website Language on a Chromebook
If you frequently visit websites that are not in your preferred language, you can change the language settings for that website. This is a useful feature that allows you to navigate websites in your preferred language.
To change the website language on your Chromebook, open the website that you want to change the language settings for.
Click on the three dots located in the top right corner of your browser.
Select “Settings” from the drop-down menu.
Under the “Languages” section, click on “Add languages” and select your preferred language from the list.
Once you have selected your preferred language, click on “Display Google Chrome in this language” to save the changes.
Change Google Account Language on Chromebook
If you use Google services such as Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Docs, you can change the language settings for your Google account. This will change the language used by these services to your preferred language.
To change the language settings for your Google account, open any Google service and sign in to your account.
Click on your profile picture located in the top right corner of your screen.
Select “Google Account” from the drop-down menu.
Under the “Preferences” section, click on “Language & Input Tools”.
Click on the drop-down menu under “Language” and select your preferred language. If your language is not listed, click on “Add another language” and select your language from the list.
Once you have selected your preferred language, click on “Save” to save the changes.
Change the Input Language on Your Chromebook
The input language on your Chromebook is the language used by your keyboard. This means that it is the language that you will type in. Changing the input language is a simple process that can be done in a few steps.
